Since 1979, CSF Steel Fabricators has specialised in the supply and installation of fabricated steel to Mining, Industrial, Architectural and Government construction projects throughout Northern Australia and PNG.

PRODUCTION CAPACITY

CSF Steel Fabricators operates out of a 8600m2 modern workshop facility. Our procedures have been developed over the years to ensure a seamless flow from our inhouse steel detailers, through processing and fabrication to painting, dispatch and installation. These processes enable CSF to fabricate up to 150t of large steel per week.

ABOUT US

CSF Steel Fabricators is a locally owned business that forms part of CSF Industries Pty Ltd, a key company that has been central to the North Queensland construction industry since 1979.

CSF Steel Fabricators currently employs approximately 120 personnel. This includes boilermakers, fitters, certified welders, riggers, dogmen, crane operators, painters, draftspersons and administration staff.

Operating from our 8600m2 modern facility situated on 21,000m2 of land within the Cairns Port Industrial area, we have access to all types of transport requirements (e.g. road, rail, air & sea). Combined with our own fully equipped workshop, trucks and cranes, we are able to handle all types of steel fabrication and fabricate approximately 100-150 tonnes of large steel per week.

CSF Steel Fabricators has the latest in automated steel processing and fabrication machinery. Our plate processing centre can cut up to 65mm thick plate while our beam line and coping robot can handle up to 1000WB at 18m long. These machines in conjunction with our Zeman SBA fabricator and SPS cleat sorting robots makes CSF one of Australia’s most advanced fabrication workshops.

CSF Steel Fabricators operates a state of the art blast & painting facility which can handle objects 24m long x 5m high x 6m wide. We have experience in marine, industrial, commercial and architectural painting applications and all projects are supervised by our NACE accredited team.

We have 6 full time steel detailers in our in-house detailing office all using Tekla Structures software and we detail the majority of projects in house.

CSF Steel Fabricators operates in conjunction with our Townsville division, Thomas Steel Fabricators, and together we successfully service projects throughout Queensland, Northern Territory and PNG.

BAILEY HOTEL AWNING

Baily Hotel Awning – CSF team detailed, fabricated, painted, and installed the entry awning to one of Cairns’ newest and most prestigious hotels. The awning was pre-assembled on the ground with roof cladding and soffit lining prior to lifting into position.
